.DISCUSSION...Expect partly to mostly sunny skies today with a
chance for a shower or thunderstorm mainly this evening. Highs
will mainly be in the 80s. Minimum humidities will range from 40
to 50 percent most places, with values as low as 20 percent over
western Fall River County. Winds will be easterly at 10 to 15 mph
with gusts up to 35 mph possible in south central SD.

The grassland fire danger index will reach the moderate category
this afternoon. Marginal weather conditions or a lowering
moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on
the ground, indicate that there is some potential for a fire
to spread. Any outdoor burning should be closely monitored.

The outlook for Sunday afternoon, The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category to moderate category.

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored.
