.DISCUSSION...There`s a chance for isolated thunderstorms around
the Black Hills and northwestern SD this afternoon. Highs will be
in the low to mid 90s. Minimum humidities will range from 15 to
30% across southwestern SD to 30 to 50% across the rest of the
western SD plains. Winds will be out of the south at 10 to 20
mph. Gusts of up to 30 to 35 mph are possible across south
central SD.

...MODERATE FIRE DANGER...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the moderate category
this afternoon. Marginal weather conditions or a lowering
moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on
the ground, indicate that there is some potential for a fire
to spread. Any outdoor burning should be closely monitored.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored.

The outlook for Saturday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category to moderate category.
