Showers and a few afternoon thunderstorms are possible today, especially across the northwestern into south central plains. Highs will be in the mid 50s to mid 60s. Afternoon humidities will dip to 50 to 65% across northwestern into south central SD. Humidities across southwestern SD and the foothills will be in the 30s to 40s. Northwest winds will pick up across most of the western SD plains today, especially across northwestern into south central SD where sustained winds of 35 to 45 mph with gusts of up to 65 to 70 mph are possible. Winds won`t be as strong in areas southeast of the Black Hills.
