.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorm are expected across most of
the area today and tonight. Afternoon high temperatures today
will be seasonably warm with highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s.
Winds will be from the north at 5 to 15 mph.

Looking ahead to the weekend, it will be mild and dry. Highs will
be in the 70s with minimum relative humidity around 30 percent.
Winds will be light from the north and east.

The grassland fire danger index will reach the moderate category
this afternoon. Marginal weather conditions or a lowering
moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on
the ground, indicate that there is some potential for a fire
to spread. Any outdoor burning should be closely monitored.

The outlook for Saturday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category to moderate category.

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fast moving fire is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions, but should be monitored.
