.DISCUSSION...Widespread showers with some scattered thunderstorms
will move into the area later this evening and persist overnight.
Wetting rains are expected which will help to damper some fire
weather concerns for Monday. A cold front will move across the
area Monday, resulting in gusty northwest winds. Winds could gust
as high as 50 to 55 mph at times during the afternoon. Depending
on where the rain does fall, when the strong winds move in and how
fast relative humidities fall Monday afternoon, elevated to
near critical fire weather conditions could develop across parts of
northwest South Dakota Monday afternoon.
