.DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon
across much of the area. Some storms may be strong to severe with
large hail and damaging winds as the main hazards. Portions of
northeastern WY and southwestern SD could see elevated fire wx
conditions as afternoon humidities drop to 15 to 20 percent and
temperatures climb into the 90s to low 100s. Hot and dry for
Sunday with elevated fire wx conditions possible again across
northeastern WY into southwestern SD.

A cold front will cross the region on Monday, bringing cooler
temperatures to the region by Tuesday. Occasional chances for
showers and storms will continue through next week.
