849 WGUS85 KTWC 042057 FLSTWC Flood Advisory National Weather Service Tucson AZ 157 PM MST Thu Sep 4 2025 AZC019-021-050000- /O.NEW.KTWC.FA.Y.0071.250904T2057Z-250905T0000Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Pima AZ-Pinal AZ- 157 PM MST Thu Sep 4 2025 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of South Central Arizona, including the following counties, north central Pima and southeastern Pinal. * WHEN...Until 500 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 157 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Robles Wash, Los, Santa Cruz River, Blanco Wash, Mammoth Wash, Tiro Wash, El, Cocio Wash, House Wash, Brawley Wash, Guild Wash, Aguirre Wash and Chalk Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Marana, Avra Valley, Pinal Airpark, Picacho Peak State Park, Picture Rocks, Red Rock and Silver Bell. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
