Near normal temperatures this afternoon, warming to 2 to 6 degrees above normal this weekend and next week. Tucson will flirt with 105 degrees Sunday and Monday. && .DISCUSSION...Sunny skies currently across southeast Arizona with just a few cumulus clouds to the north of Tucson. Residual troughing will be giving way to stronger ridging over the upcoming weekend into early next week. This is resulting in increasing heights and thicknesses with continued west to southwest flow aloft as the high remains centered well to our southeast. Temperatures this afternoon will be right about normal for this time of year. Highs will continue to warm over the next few days, peaking around Sunday and Monday with highs near 105 in Tucson. These levels are generally around 3 to 6 degrees above normal for this time of year. Thereafter, no real significant change as temperatures drop a couple of degrees by the middle of next week as the high relocates in the eastern Pacific off the western Baja peninsula. Expect typical afternoon breezes through the forecast period with some afternoon gusts around 20 mph. && .AVIATION...Valid through 07/00Z. SKC thru the period.
