Fire Danger Statement
National Weather Service Tulsa OK
414 AM CDT Tue Mar 11 2025

...ELEVATED TO NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS
AFTERNOON ACROSS ALL OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS.

Unseasonably warm temperatures today combined with afternoon
humidity values falling to 15 to 25 percent and breezy south to
southwest winds will result in elevated to near critical fire
weather conditions this afternoon for all of eastern Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas. This combination of breezy winds, warm
temperatures, and very low humidity values will result in enhanced
to near critical grassland fire spread rates. Winds will subside
and humidities will increase after sunset this evening.

Avoid outdoor activities that could inadvertently start a flame or
spark, including proper disposal of cigarettes. Report any
wildfires to local officials.
