Fire Danger Statement
National Weather Service Tulsa OK
1101 PM CST Wed Dec 17 2025

...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THURSDAY AFTERNOON NORTHEAST
OKLAHOMA...

Grassland fire spread rates will be enhanced to near critical
Thursday afternoon across much of northeast Oklahoma, especially
west of Highway 75 and north of Interstate 44.

Northwesterly winds from 15 to 20 mph with gusts in the 30 to 40
mph range are expected Thursday afternoon behind a cold front
moving through Thursday morning. Afternoon relative humidity
values will fall into the 15 to 25 percent range as temperatures
warm into the upper 50s to around 60 degrees. These conditions
will combine with dry wildland fuels that are three weeks removed
from significant rainfall to present an elevated fire danger to
briefly near Red Flag conditions.

Avoid outdoor activities that could inadvertently start a fire,
including disposing of cigarettes properly. Report any wildfires
to local officials.
