Unseasonably warm temperatures, afternoon humidity values falling
to 15 to 25 percent, and south to southwest winds gusting over 20
miles an hour will result in an elevated fire weather danger this
afternoon across much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential.
THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Very High Fire Weather Potential...
         High Wind Potential.
SATURDAY...High Wind Potential.
SUNDAY...No Hazards.
MONDAY...Very High Fire Weather Potential...High Wind Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Two fast-moving storm systems will move across the Plains this
week. The first system on Wednesday will bring isolated strong to
severe storm potential from parts of southeast Oklahoma into
western Arkansas late Wednesday afternoon and evening. The second
and more potent system on Friday is expected to bring both severe
thunderstorm and fire weather concerns to the region. Far eastern
Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas are currently most favored for
severe weather Friday afternoon and evening, with areas along and
west of Highway 69 in northeast Oklahoma having the greatest
potential for near critical to locally critical fire weather
conditions. Continue to monitor the latest expectations this week,
as confidence continues to grow in the overall timing and track
of the storm systems.
