DISCUSSION...
Enhanced to near critical grassland fire spread rates are
forecast this afternoon across eastern Oklahoma and northwest
Arkansas, with the area of greatest concern across northeast
Oklahoma. Southerly winds will increase, with gusts from 20 to 25
mph, late morning into the afternoon and will combine with dry
fuels and minimum relative humidities from 20 to 25 percent to
lead to the overall fire weather threat. Conditions will improve
by early evening.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...No Hazards.
MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
At least limited fire weather concerns will continue through the
weekend and into next week, driven by continued dry fuels and low
relative humidities. Days with stronger winds will feature an
increased overall fire weather threat.

An upper level storm system moving through the Central Plains on
Monday will bring a low chance for showers and thunderstorms to
northeast Oklahoma and far northwest Arkansas. Severe weather is
not expected.
