This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Elevated.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...This Morning.

DISCUSSION...
A low to medium chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecast
this morning across portions of eastern Oklahoma, especially along
and south of Interstate 40. Low shower and storm chances persist
across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this afternoon.
Stronger storms today may produce cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty
winds, and heavy rainfall leading to localized flash flooding.
Precipitation chances decrease by this evening, however, which
should reduce any impacts to Independence Day festivities.
Remember... if thunder roars, go indoors!

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Daily storm chances will persist through the several days, with
the best chances from Saturday to Monday. Severe weather is not
expected to be widespread but an isolated severe storm can`t be
ruled out, mainly for strong, gusty winds. Areas of heavy rain and
localized flash flooding could develop but confidence in
placement is low. Temperatures will begin to increase for the
middle of next week.
