Scattered thunderstorms will become possible this afternoon and

western Oklahoma and northwest Texas. Storms will quickly move
into portions of eastern Oklahoma. Conditions will support severe
thunderstorms, with large hail the main threat, though damaging
winds and tornadoes will also be possible, especially across
southeast Oklahoma.

Additional thunderstorms development is possible along a warm
front later this evening and overnight across portions of
northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Large hail will again
be the main threat with this activity through the overnight hours.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Unsettled weather will continue through Tuesday with several
rounds of thunderstorms expected. Severe storm potential
increases again during the day Sunday for eastern Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas and remain possible into Sunday night as a
strong storm system moves out into the Plains. Higher
thunderstorm coverage and severe potential are likely in the
Monday through Tuesday time frame as the main upper storm system
moves over the region. More widespread coverage of severe
thunderstorms is progged by Monday afternoon, with all hazards in
play, including the potential for very large hail and strong
tornadoes with any discrete storms. In addition to the severe
weather potential, locally heavy rainfall may also occur each day
through Tuesday, especially for areas that see storms multiple
days in a row.
