much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

DISCUSSION...
Isolated showers may develop this afternoon in far southeastern
Oklahoma. Lightning is unlikely but a strike or two cannot be
ruled out in close vicinity of the Red River. Otherwise, no
hazardous weather is expected today.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Low thunderstorm potential is forecast for the remainder of the
week, though storms are expected to remain isolated and most
locations should remain dry on any given day. Slightly better
storm chances may arrive this weekend into next week. Primary
hazards from any storms that develop include dangerous lightning,
heavy rainfall leading to localized flash flooding, and gusty
winds. Temperatures and resultant heat indices will increase by
late week and into next week, climbing into the 95 to 105 degree
range by this weekend.
