This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Widespread dangerous heat will persist through this evening with
heat indices of 105-110 F for most locations. A few showers and
thunderstorms may develop across the higher terrain of northwest
AR and southeast OK with mostly minimal impacts. A few more
showers or storms could form for portions of northeast OK near the
KS border very late tonight.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Very hot weather continues Tuesday, but cooler air arrives heading
into Wednesday. Temperatures will remain below normal into the
weekend. We will also see increasing thunderstorm potential
throughout the day Tuesday and into Wednesday. A few storms could
be marginally severe for wind. Locally heavy rainfall may also
occur. Drier weather will then develop heading into the weekend.
