much of Eastern Oklahoma.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.

AREA...Far Northeast Oklahoma near the Kansas and Missouri borders.
ONSET...This Evening.

POOR VISIBILITY.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing...ending by mid-morning.

DISCUSSION...

Patchy fog will reduce visibilities over short distances this
morning. The fog will lift by mid-morning.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop along an advancing cold
front across southern Kansas this afternoon. There is a chance
that a few of those storms could move into far northeast Oklahoma
this evening before dissipating. Severe weather is not expected
due to waning instability after sunset, but brief heavy downpours
and gusty winds will accompany any storm that manages to move
into the area.

THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY and SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

MONDAY and TUESDAY...No Hazards.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...

A stronger cold front is expected to arrive Friday, and will focus
storm chances that shift from north and south across the area
through Saturday. While some uncertainty exists in the details,
there is potential that the remnant moisture from what is now
Hurricane Lorena in the Pacific could track across southern
Oklahoma on Sunday. This would raise heavy rainfall and flood
potential. Future forecasts will continue to refine the details.
