SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. RISK...Limited. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma. ONSET...This Evening. HEAVY RAIN. RISK...Limited. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma. ONSET...This Evening. DISCUSSION... Mostly quiet conditions are expected through the afternoon for much of the area. A few light showers could impact portions of eastern OK, mainly west of Highway 75. Highs will be mild, in the 80s. Later this evening and tonight, additional showers and storms may impact eastern OK, with a better chance towards central OK. A few of the storms may result in locally heavy rainfall and strong gusty winds. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. TUESDAY TO WEDNESDAY...No Hazards. THURSDAY TO SATURDAY...Dangerous Heat Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... A few storms may linger into Monday across southeast OK, but coverage and intensity will be fairly low. Temperatures will be below normal Monday, but rising to above normal for later in the week as dangerous heat potential returns.
