FIRE WEATHER DANGER. RISK...Limited. AREA...Northeast Oklahoma West of 75, South of 412. ONSET...This Afternoon. DISCUSSION... South to southeast winds will gust 20 to 25 mph this afternoon as temperatures climb well above average for this time of year. The warm and breezy conditions will be more supportive of fire spread, especially in parts of northeast Oklahoma to the west of Highway 75 and south of Highway 412 where it has been a month since appreciable rainfall has fallen. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. SUNDAY...Fire Weather Potential. MONDAY and TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. WEDNESDAY through FRIDAY...No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Warm and breezy conditions are expected again on Sunday afternoon, especially to the west of Tulsa. These conditions will raise fire weather concerns. Isolated afternoon pop-up thunderstorms are forecast Monday afternoon, primarily over western Arkansas. A frontal boundary will bring low chances for thunderstorms to northeast Oklahoma Monday night into Tuesday. Widely scattered afternoon pop-up thunderstorms are expected again Tuesday afternoon across western Arkansas and far eastern Oklahoma.
