much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...This Evening and Tonight.

SIGNIFICANT WINDS.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Gusty northwesterly winds early this evening are expected weaken
through late evening across eastern Oklahoma and northwest
Arkansas. Late tonight into Sunday morning, winds increase again
with gusts of 20 to 30 mph as a second surge of colder air spreads
over the region.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
SUNDAY...High Wind Potential.
MONDAY...No Hazards.
TUESDAY...High Wind Potential.
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY...High Wind Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Gusty northwesterly winds continue through the day Sunday before
weakening again Sunday night once the upper level disturbance
exits. With the much colder air filtering into the region,
temperatures Sunday are forecast to be 25 to 30 degrees colder
compared to Saturday. Temperatures continue to fall Sunday night
into Monday morning with a widespread hard freeze and a high
potential for a localized killing freeze across eastern Oklahoma
and northwest Arkansas. Freeze Warning is in effect from Sunday
evening through mid morning Monday. Colder airmass erodes Tuesday
with the return of gusty southwesterly winds. A warming trend then
develops through the second half of the upcoming week.
