EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions will persist through the weekend, with
slight thunderstorm chances for portions of northeast Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas associated with an approaching cold front. The
weather pattern will change by early next week with widespread daily
shower and thunderstorm chances forecast beginning Monday and
continuing through mid week. Areas of heavy rainfall are possible
along with temperatures well below late August normals.
