This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Northwest Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...Afternoon.

DANGEROUS HEAT.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Along and south of Interstate 40.
ONSET...Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Isolated thunderstorms are forecast to develop this afternoon
across portions of southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.
A brief strong storm is possible with locally gusty winds.
Otherwise, hot and humid conditions will persist primarily
along and south of Interstate 40 this afternoon. Overall
temperatures will be cooler than recent days, however heat
index values near 105 degrees will be possible which
will raise heat stress conditions.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
THURSDAY through SATURDAY...No Hazards.
SUNDAY through TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Dry and slightly cooler weather will continue into the weekend.
A stronger cold front arrives early next week along with
a pattern supporting multiple days of shower and thunderstorm
chances. Temperatures will trend below normal for early
next week.
