.DISCUSSION... Hot and predominantly dry weather will continue
through Wednesday. Spotty afternoon showers and thunderstorms are
expected again today, but rainfall will be brief and will not
impact recent drought trends. Locally gusty winds will be the
main concern near any thunderstorms this week. Increased fire
weather concerns continue, especially for southeast Oklahoma with
ongoing drought conditions and localized gusty winds. County
level burn bans are ongoing across the region. Rain potential
increases areawide Wednesday evening through the weekend a more
active pattern develops over the region.
