showers, some with heavy rain generally west of a Tulsa to McAlester
line and also north of I44 and east of highway 75. They were most
widespread and heaviest in Okfuskee, Rogers and Nowata counties in
Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Tulsa area. Movement was to
the north at around 30 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was around one tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of three
quarters to around an inch. Coverage and intensity remained about
the same as last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for this afternoon,
cloudy, occasional showers with thunderstorms likely with
temperatures 57 to 63 degrees and east winds 5 to 15 mph.
