...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN JACKSON AND
SOUTHERN BROWN COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM CDT...
At 349 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Kickapoo Reservation, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Hail damage to outdoor objects and
vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Sabetha, Horton, Everest, Fairview, Whiting, Netawaka, Powhattan,
Willis, and Kickapoo Reservation.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
