Minimal overnight recovery in temperatures will also been seen. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and northeast Kansas. * WHEN...Until 9 PM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Morning low temperatures only falling into the upper 70s will not provide much relief from daily heat. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
