This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of east central,
north central, and northeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

A heat advisory remains in effect for the entire area through
Sunday afternoon. Afternoon heat indices are forecast to be in
the 100 to 107 degrees range. Take precautions from the heat if
spending extended time outside.

A wind advisory remains in effect for areas along and west of a
line from Emporia to Marysville. South winds of 25 to 30 mph with
gusts around 45 mph are expected until 8 pm this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Another wind advisory is posted for areas along and west of a line
from Council Grove to Manhattan for Sunday from 10am until 8pm.
South winds should again be in the 25 to 30 mph range with gusts
around 45 mph.

There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms across north
central and northeast Kansas Monday afternoon and evening. There
is a 50 to 80 percent chance for storms to develop, and some of
the storms may briefly strengthen to produce strong wind gusts and
hail.

Spotters will not be needed this afternoon or tonight.
