.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns are low due to relatively green fuels.
The weather pattern is not expected to change much today
with southerly winds becoming breezy and hot and humid
temperatures persisting. South winds are expected to be in
the 10 to 20 mph range with gusts around 25 mph possible.
Minimum RH values should range from around 35 percent across
north central KS to 45 percent in the east. So red flag
conditions are not expected. Mixing heights between 5 and
8KFT along with the breezy transport winds should promote
excellent conditions for smoke dispersal.
The summer time weather looks to stick around into Monday.
A weak boundary is forecast to move into the area by
Tuesday. This will bring chances for showers and storms
for Monday through Wednesday. Cooler weather is forecast
to end the workweek.
