.DISCUSSION...
South-southwest winds increase after sunrise this morning, gusting
to 20-25 MPH this morning into the early afternoon before
weakening through the afternoon hours. Minimum relative humidity
values fall to 40-45 percent this afternoon. A few showers or
storms may impact the area this morning into the early afternoon
with best chances coming across east central Kansas this evening
into the overnight hours. A couple of storms could be strong to
severe with hail up to quarter size and wind gusts up to 60 MPH
being the main hazards.
A strong cold front will move through the area on Saturday, with
northwest winds gusting at 30-35 MPH during the afternoon.
Relative humidity values fall to 30-50 percent Saturday afternoon.
