...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Kansas, including
  the following counties, in east central Kansas, Anderson, Coffey,
  Douglas, Franklin, Lyon, Osage, Shawnee and Wabaunsee. In
  northeast Kansas, Jefferson.

* WHEN...From late tonight through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - One round of thunderstorms is possible overnight tonight,
    with higher confidence in thunderstorms Saturday afternoon
    and evening. Heavy rainfall is expected with both rounds of
    storms, resulting in a swath of rain totals between 2 and 4
    inches with locally higher amounts possible.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
