...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN BLAINE AND
NORTHEASTERN HILL COUNTIES THROUGH 1000 PM MDT...

At 928 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 38
miles north of Inverness, or 44 miles north of Chester, moving east
at 40 mph. This storm is currently north of the US/Canadian border
but may move into northern Hill County. This storm has had a history
of producing ping pong sized hail in Alberta.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Simpson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM MDT for
north central Montana.
