290 NOUS45 KTFX 220021 PNSTFX MTZ301>330-221230- Public Information Statement National Weather Service Great Falls MT 621 PM MDT Mon Apr 21 2025 ...NWS Damage Survey for April 20 and 21 Landspout Events... .Overview...Cool cyclonic flow aloft and strong but variable surface heating resulted in widely scattered rain showers, two of which resulted in brief, weak landspouts: one on Sunday the 20th and one on Monday the 21st. These two landspouts occurred near a highway and were witnessed by multiple people who took pictures and videos of the landspouts and submitted them to NWS and local media. Surveys were conducted of both landspout locations. However, lack of damage indicators in the likely locations, which were in farm fields, resulted in no confirmed damage that could be rated or attributed to the landspouts. As such, all locations are estimated. Higher confidence can be placed on times thanks to witness interviews. .Landspout #1...
