...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SUNDAY EVENING...
.DISCUSSION...
.REST OF TONIGHT...
Upper level ridging will continue to dominate through Saturday,
with hot and dry conditions expected to persist beneath the ridge.
While an isolated shower or thunderstorm can`t be ruled out on
Thursday, especially during the late evening hours, the
probability for wetting rainfall from these showers is very low.
Biggest impact from any shower activity on Thursday will be gusty
and erratic outflow winds. Winds begin to increase on Saturday
ahead of potent cold front and ridge breakdown, with high
temperatures on Saturday peaking near 105 degrees. Elevated to
near critical fire weather conditions are then expected as the
ridge breaks down late Saturday and into Sunday, with a wind
shift from the southwest to north expected in wake of the cold
front.
