.DISCUSSION...

Strong gusty winds are expected to continue through the early
evening hours today in the wake of a frontal system that pushed
through the area earlier today. Expect wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph
to continue to affect the fire through sunset, which will result
in some difficult fire behavior through sunset. Winds will remain
gusty immediately after sunset, but will gradually decrease
through the overnight hours before sunrise on Saturday. Any mop up
operations on Saturday will be greeted with much lighter winds
with gusts topping out around 10 to 15 mph.
