Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana
National Weather Service Great Falls MT
443 AM MDT Fri Aug 1 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Another wave of scattered showers and thunderstorms will move south
to north this afternoon through the early overnight hours tonight.
The primary hazards will be vivid cloud to ground lightning, gusty
winds, and torrential downpours capable of localized flooding.
Another wave of storms is expected again on Saturday with similar
hazards. Although daily rounds of showers and thunderstorms continue
through the weekend into early week, declining moisture levels is
expected reduce the occurrence of heavier downpours and flooding
potential.
