Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana
National Weather Service Great Falls MT
451 AM MST Fri Nov 22 2024

Note: This is the the last regular issuance of the daily fire weather
planning forecast for the 2024 season

.DISCUSSION...

A Pacific storm system will spread widespread precipitation across
primarily north-central Montana today with little or no
precipitation south of Helena and the Little Belts. A colder airmass
remains in place across the north-central MT plains where some
mixed precipitation including freezing rain/drizzle is expected
across central MT while areas further north will primarily see
snow. Another round of snow is expected across north-central MT
Saturday with snow showers across central MT. Temperatures remain
colder than average for late November through next week with
coldest temperatures likely Sunday and Monday and again later in
the week. Hoenisch
