838 FNUS55 KTFX 110818 FWFTFX Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana National Weather Service Great Falls MT 218 AM MDT Mon Aug 11 2025 .DISCUSSION... Northwest flow aloft will prevail across the Northern Rockies through this evening, with a weak cold front advancing south and across North Central and portions of Central Montana through the morning hours. Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop along and behind this cold front, in addition to over the higher terrain as far south as the I-90 corridor, with showers and storms lingering into the early evening hours tonight. Upper level ridging over the Pacific Northwest will begin to breakdown late tonight, with increasing zonal flow developing over the Northern Rockies on Tuesday and Wednesday. This will translate to increasing west surface winds, drier conditions, and above normal temperatures across all fire weather zones. - Moldan MTZ112-112230- Eastern Glacier/Toole/Central/Eastern Pondera/Liberty- 218 AM MDT Mon Aug 11 2025 .TODAY... * Sky/Weather...........Partly sunny.
