Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana
National Weather Service Great Falls MT
1253 PM MDT Sat Jul 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

An upper level disturbance moving over the Northern Rockies
will bring unsettled conditions through the remainder of the
weekend and first half of the upcoming work week. High
temperatures will fall back below normal on Sunday, with well
below normal temperatures expected on Monday and Tuesday. Daily
chances for showers and thunderstorms exist across most Fire
Weather Zones, with the most persistent period of precipitation
occurring on Monday and Tuesday as the main upper level low moves
over Western Montana. Winds through the day on Sunday will be
variable before turning to the north Sunday evening and into the
day on Monday as a cold front advances south. - Moldan
