Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana
National Weather Service Great Falls MT
240 PM MDT Fri Jul 4 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected across North
Central and Central Montana today as a warm front lifts through
the area. While unlikely, any showers and thunderstorms today
could produce some gusty outflow winds in excess of 50 mph. Rain
will be most persistent along and north of US 2, as the front
slows and stalls overnight tonight. Another round of showers and
thunderstorms is expected on Saturday, some of which could once
again be strong, especially along and east of a Havre to Great
Falls line. After Saturday, expect a period of dry and
increasingly warm weather as upper level ridging builds into the
area.
