...The National Weather Service in Great Falls MT has issued a Flood
Warning for the following creek in Montana...

  Clear Creek at Chinook affecting Blaine County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM EARLY THIS MORNING UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Heavy rainfall from earlier thunderstorms has resulted in a
  rapid rise of water levels on Creek Creek in Blaine county.
  Moderate flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Clear Creek at Chinook.

* WHEN...From early this morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 6.5 feet, Machinist Road may not be passable and
  Clear Creek Road may be covered by water in several locations. At
  8.0 feet, water may be 2 to 3 feet deep in corrals along Clear
  Creek.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:30 AM MDT Monday the stage was 7.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:30 AM MDT Monday was 7.6 feet.
  - Forecast...Some additional rises are possible early this
    morning before levels quickly recede.
  - Flood stage is 5.5 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    8.1 feet on 04/09/2023.
