...Tornado Drill on Wednesday February 05 at 1000 AM...

Emergency management offices...in cooperation with the National
Weather Service in Ruskin, FL...will conduct a tornado drill at 1000
AM EST Wednesday February 5 for all counties in West Central and
Southwest Florida. This includes Levy, Citrus, Hernando, Sumter,
Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Hardee,
Desoto, Highlands, Charlotte, and Lee counties.

Schools, businesses, and citizens are encouraged to review their
tornado safety plans, confirm their ability to receive weather
alerts by NOAA Weather Radio, and practice moving quickly to the
safest location within a structure. The best location to shelter is
often on the lowest floor, in a small interior room far from
windows, such as a closet or bathroom.

At 1000 AM EST Wednesday February 5, the National Weather Service in
Ruskin, FL will issue a practice tornado warning. The warning will
be broadcast and alarmed on the NOAA Weather Radio as a Routine
Weekly Test message. Please be sure your radio is configured to
receive a Routine Weekly Test message. After receiving the test
warning and moving to your shelter, you may resume normal activities.
