Important notice to mariners...marine forecasts are issued at least four times a day. Boaters on extended trips should routinely monitor subsequent forecast issuances and updates for the latest marine weather information. The wave heights are forecast as significant wave height which is the average of the highest one-third of the waves. The highest waves may rarely be twice the significant wave height. The moderately tight pressure gradient continues between high pressure in the Western Atlantic to Mid Atlantic region and a stalled frontal boundary over the Bahamas and S FL with occasionally gusty easterly winds and a choppy sea state. Small craft should still exercise caution and headline in appropriate zones through the week. A cold front is expected to move through the region with breezy winds expected Friday into Saturday.
