Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
144 PM EDT Sat Oct 19 2024

...New DISCUSSION, AVIATION, MARINE, FIRE WEATHER...

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 143 PM EDT Sat Oct 19 2024

A very quiet weather pattern continues across our CWA and will be
sticking around the next sevens days. This is due to a strong high
pressure sitting to our north. This high is already starting to
modify. This will result in lows in the mid to upper 60`s each
morning and highs in the low to mid 80`s for the next 7 days. The
only chance of rain will be Sunday across the interior as the strong
easterly winds brings a few sprinkles.

The only big change to the forecast will be the winds. Gusty winds
will remain in the forecast through at least Tuesday as the high
pressure to our north remains anchored in place keeping a tight
pressure gradient over the area. By mid next week the high start
to weaken and move away resulting in winds calming back down.

VFR conditions with gusty winds out of the north and northeast
throughout the daytime hours.

.MARINE...
Issued at 143 PM EDT Sat Oct 19 2024

Gusty north and northeast winds will continue through the
weekend with a small craft advisory in place. This is due to a
strong high pressure sitting to the north of the state. Winds will
slow down slightly for early next week but expect winds still to be
around 15 to 20 knots with Exercise Caution still in place.
Further weakening of the winds will start by next Wednesday.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 143 PM EDT Sat Oct 19 2024

Drier air will remain in place for the next 7 days however RHs
will remain above critical levels. The main concern through early
next week will be the gusty Northeasterly winds. We will see
afternoon gust each day around 20 to 25 mph.
