A High risk of rip currents is expected at area beaches as increased surf and residual swell in the water lead to dangerous rip currents. This high risk should continue into at least Tuesday night, even as surf subsides. Lighter winds on Wednesday/Thursday should lead to a moderate rip current risk. Widespread showers and some storms area expected this morning and afternoon as a cold front sweeps across the area.
