891 FZUS52 KTAE 171528 SRFTAE Surf Zone Forecast National Weather Service Tallahassee FL 1128 AM EDT Fri Oct 17 2025 .THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK... Moderate easterly breezes across the Gulf waters this afternoon will become southeasterly on Saturday, then southerly and southwesterly on Sunday, in advance of a cold frontal passage on Sunday evening. This gradual change to onshore winds will increase surf and the rip current risk, first on southeast-facing beaches of Franklin County on Saturday, expanding to all area beaches on Sunday. Winds will turn offshore on Monday, but it will take until later Monday for surf to subside enough to decrease the risk of rip currents.
