.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

There is a Moderate risk of rip currents anticipated at all area
beaches today. Southerly winds begin to develop this afternoon
before turning more southwesterly Thursday. The persistent onshore
flow combined with a swell period of around 6 seconds will lead to a
high risk of rip currents starting Thursday and continuing into the
weekend. Chances for showers and thunderstorms increase this
afternoon before increasing even more Thursday, Friday, and
Saturday.
