.DISCUSSION...
While winds at the surface will generally be light out of the
southwest, transport winds will increase this afternoon to 10-15
mph. RH values will remain well above critical levels today as
moisture increases. Good dispersions are expected given mixing
heights peaking near 4,000 feet.
Tonight, surface winds remain light while transport winds still
remain out of the south to southwest around 10 mph. Some patchy
fog is possible late tonight, but the better chances of fog are
east of the fire.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely on Saturday. Rain chances
increase mid morning with the greatest chance during the
afternoon. Some of the storms could be strong to severe Saturday
with strong, gusty, erratic winds; hail; and maybe a brief
tornado. Outside of storms, surface winds increase out of the
southwest to near 10 mph with strong transport winds out of the
southwest to west around 20-25 mph.
