...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...

Light westerly surface and transport winds are expected today thanks
to an area of high pressure overhead. Mixing heights of 4.8-5.3k ft are
expected this afternoon before a few showers and storms develop by
mid-afternoon into the early evening hours. Low dispersions this
morning increase to around 25 to 30 units by 11am-noon. Otherwise,
heat is the main concern today with heat indices forecast to push to
108 to 111 degrees at times later this morning into the afternoon
ahead of any showers and storms that happen to develop.
