Light west winds become southwest through the morning with daytime heating and as the seabreeze begins to develop through the day expect winds to become southerly by the late morning and early afternoon and pick up speed to around 5 to 10 mph. Similar to the last few days, morning showers and some thunderstorms could affect the site, but with the mean winds out of the west, shower and thunderstorm chances could stick around longer into the early afternoon as the seabreeze will be slower to progress inland west of the burn compared to locations east of the burn. Most shower activity in the morning won`t have lightning, but with afternoon heating, early afternoon storms will see increased potential for lightning as they grow stronger. Additionally, storms could bring stronger wind gusts than we`ve seen in recent days as drier air aloft helps give thunderstorm downbursts a little more strength today thanks to higher instability this afternoon. Most shower and storm activity should push inland finally by the late afternoon hours at the site. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (30-40 percent).
