.DISCUSSION...
Showers and possibly a few thunderstorms will be ongoing at the
start of the forecast period this morning as activity moves in off
the Gulf. Off and on showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms
will remain possible through much of the morning hours and early
afternoon before any ongoing activity pushes inland. Westerly
transport winds and surface winds will persist through much of the
day but as the seabreeze starts to develop, surface winds will
become more southwesterly after 1 or 2 pm CDT and gradually increase.
Occasional gusts to 15 or 20 mph are possible from 2 to 8pm CDT
this evening before gusts subside. Moist southwesterly flow will
keep RHs high with minimum RHs likely not dropping below 65% this
afternoon. For tonight, west and southwesterly winds remain
elevated and this should keep any fog from forming at the site
overnight. Higher rain chances and probabilities for wetting rains
move into the burn site for Sunday along with stronger
southwesterly winds.
